.,,..47j.-in-S T. 'B 'lf' ,Wg ,, r X. 7 K I ff 1:1 4 PHUPHECU Hello, everybody, here we are at the annual alumni dance. Tonight we are honoring the class of '53. They are meeting together for the first time since their graduation ten years ago. Also tonight, we are being entertained by Benny's Boys, starring DON BENDER and his incomparable trombone. Entering now are JACK CHRISTMAN, famous night club owner, and his star attraction, HELEN CZERWONKA, falias Bubbles LaRueJ. Chatting in the corner are GEORGE ADAMS, coach of the basket- ball team at Vassar, and ANNETTE THOMPSON, the brilliant opera soprano. Over the quiet tones of Benny's Boys, now comes a restrained chuckle and entering is PAUL McKENZIE, No. I Laugh King of the world. Now we see ANN and DICK WAUGH entering the room. Wonder who their sitter is? And look at the white mink DORIS DEMPSEY has on. That man of hers must have struck another oil well while he was stationed in Texas. I think it's their twelfth this month. ROY and SHIRLEY ELDER have started a brother and sister dance team. Only last week they danced in Loose Tooth, Arizona. RONNIE LEE has full owner- ship of his own gambling establishment located in the back room of Pete's Billiard Palace, Villa Grove. My, doesn't RICHARD PIPPEN look slim? I bet it's that new reducing formula, Pippen's Peppy Peppermints he's just invented. I heard that JUANITA SHUNK has started a modeling school in Tuscola with DORIS SHOEMAKER as her partner. PATTY KRAFT is now sole owner of the Kraft Limburger Cheese Co. I wonder why she can't find a partner. DON SCHAEFER is the manager of the Blacksox--their' washing machine broke down. LEON WILLIAMS is their water boy. JERRY ENGLISH, the well-known dentist, has invented a colorless, odor- less, valueless toothpaste called Cuspid. Its slogan is, For your bicuspids, buy Cuspid. DELENE STEWART has gotten tired of working and has become a Vagabond. ARTHUR SOARDS looks a little top heavy. Maybe it's because of all those medals he received in the army as a general. GENE FIELDBINDER has inherited from his father the gasoline business. He has a station of his own, it is underground because he says that it will protect him against atomic blast rays. JANET PAYNE has been voted 1963 Navy Sweetheart. DONNA ANDREWS is going to New York to compete in a debate contest. Its subject is, The Necessity of the Rise and Fall of the Tides of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the East and West. CHARLES BEHL has defeated Charles Atlas for the world's title, The World's Most Perfectly Developed Man. The BRAGG brothers, DAVE and STEVE, are manufacturing a new type of fertilizer that will grow weeds and kill your crops overnight. Intermission time, lets's go out into the lobby. There are SHERON PATTERSON and BETTY SMITH, the two most popular cheerleaders at West Point. They're talking to TOM GIRE, the main distributor of Old Faithful Products in Villa Grove. Dr. ED TAYLOR is chief surgeon at Taylor's Garage, formally Hillard's. The intermission is over and I can hear the melodious tones of Benny's Boys playing If You Say I Beg Your Pardon, Then I'1l Come Back To You. Some late arrivals are entering the ballroom. BOB GREGER, who is a champion runner, is going to represent the United States in the Olympic games next year. DARLENE MAULDING has a part on a radio show. She has taken the place of Geranium on the Judy Canova show. DON PYLE is on the same show as Pedro. PEG CUTLER is the wife of the famous cowboy star, Six-gun Jim. PHIL HARRIS has taken over the Phil Harris show and MARY ANN CHRISTIAN plays Alice Faye. JOHN WILEY has gained recognition as local dog show critic. DERYS HUNT moved to New York to live with her husband. HAROLD MARTIN has come out with a new type of house. It is made entirely of glass and coal. SHIRLEY SCHREIB is employed at Junkin's Plumbing Shop. JIM MASSIE now has full control of housing in the suburban area of Hugo. DEAN KEITH has taken over the study of krebiozen from Dr. Ivy. CONNIE WACKER is handling the mail he receives and is working day and night to answer it. SHIRLEY REINHART is living in Greenwich Village in New York and designing dresses for the Brokerage Company. And now at five minutes until one, all of the members of the class have grouped around the piano and are singing--Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here. 18
