In the midst of chattering and laughing a sudden hush fell over the crowd as the Valentine royalty was revealed. Enthusiastic applause and a song of congratulations honored Her Highness, Iean Sadler, Queen of Hearts, and her attend- ants, Kathleen Crimmins and Sally Flemming as they took their places on the thrones before the curtain. After the Queen had been crowned by Patty Io O'Brien she led the grand march around the gym and into the cafeteria where brownies, dixie-cups, and pop were the tasty refreshments served. Canasta was played and assorted prizes awarded. It was a Valentine party with some delightfully new twists, and one which brought an afternoon of long-remem- bered enjoyment.

Sl of 'K 'X' l ..,4.....lb--up THE SENIOR PLAY Bright lights, beautiful costumes, and excited girls made up Sleeping Beauty of Lore- 1and, the senior play presented by the class ot '50 on Sunday evening, February 12th, at 8 o'clock. The lovely old fairy tale Sleeping Beauty was drarnatized and, under the direction of Miss McGregor, an excellent production was staged. Miss Irene taught the girls their beau- tiful dances. an X 'X l Fix R633 THE SENIOR TEA The Villa Senior Tea has become a tradition: consequently, students, as well as friends of the school, live in happy anticipation of the affair. In a certain sense, this year's tea was a departure from the past since it was held in Short Hills Country Club, instead of at the home of a class member. Attendance was most grati- fying and guests enjoyed meeting friends and chatting over their tea cups. Mothers of officers of various groups presided at the table, which was adorned with beautiful autumn blooms. Mothers also assisted their daughters in the bakery, candy, and gilt booths. The program of the afternoon con- sisted of a review of small children's styles: the performance having been televised in advance.
