E is is Lori West Pattricia White Brian Bassett After some confusion the names for this year's National Honor Society were chosen. A formal induction ceremony was held in the View- mont Auditorium. Dr. Nathan Winters spoke to the members and their parents, stressing creativ- ity. The new members then received their certifi- cates, lit their candles, quoted the oath of mem- bership, and blew out their candles. A commit- tee of five Senior members met with the officers to plan and coordinate activities. The National Honor Society officers for this year are: Steve Cullimore, President, Carolyn Gill, Vice Presi- dent, Linda Hancey, Secretary, Kia Fadel, Histo- riang Jill Barlow, Activities Coordinator. The boys traveled up to USU in Logan, while the girls went down to SLISC in Cedar City. While they were there they learned the essential form of government and all the work that it takes to run a govern- mental system.
