ou ask, What makes your school, your V. H. S.? What makes it tick?' We answer, Many things . . . Our woods and fields and little, friendly towns And men who put the public welfare first. The yellow buses chugging faithfully up hill and down ln sun or rainy weather: Their drivers and the other men and women whose daily work Makes sure we're warmed and fed, And that our days move forward smoothly. Our building's classrooms, labs and halls which, like a magnet, daily draw us ing And, at the heart of things, the men and women we call 'the faculty'. Yet first and last our school is boys and girls who daily Ride the buses, throng the class rooms . . . Our school's the lengthened shadow of our- selves. I
