WHILE E lon 0110 fflilnnrr ME incur rr The Senior Play cast had more than their share of troubles during play practice, but on the night of May 4, they were elated because they had received more than their share of success. The play was a 'light comedy with the plot centering around an average American family from Riverview, Illinois, who won a , 524,000 iackpot of prizes. Riddle Me Riches was the radio program from which the play got its name, The many trials and tribulations which beset the poor winners resulted in a hilarious show.

Fllli THE IGHT 0F 'l'llE PRUM THE GYM BECAME A GARDE On the night of May il, soft lights glowing through a draped ceiling of delicate pastel colors, flowers everywhere, and in the center of the floor, a pool complete with water lilies and a real live frog made the '51 prom one of the most attractive in recent years. High point of the prom was the crowning of a queen chosen by lot from the senior girls. Each girl as she entered signed her name and dropped it in a box. The queen's name was drawn by Junior President, Bennie Russell, iust before the first dance. Louise Taylor was the lucky girl crowned Wit.h a wreath of red roses. Committees in charge of arrangements included: Program- Sue Thomas, Bill Owens, Nellie Evans and Zack Murphy, Refreshments-Barbara George, Barbara Racey, Dick Rushing and Billy Brown, Decorations-Tommy Benton, Eddie Brown, Carolyn Huckleberry, Dixie Hinkle, Mary E. Johnson and Hillis Johnson. All day before the prom a tantalizing smell of baking cake pervaded the building. At intervals members of the re- freshment committee appeared clad in aprons, their mouths wreathed with crumbs. There was some doubt that enough of the dainty little cakes with the numerals '5i in colored icing would survive the sampling of the committee to feed the iuniors and their guests. Formal entertainment included songs by Nellie Evans, Sue Thomas, Zack Murphy and Bill Owens. . iz ,Pai .3-:givin ' fry, :-.1 'z- A -. j. F- f-:Vi M., t K-1.,,,, 43' ,QT -.1 . 3:45, .
