GIB li HALL MU IC MAKER Music students at VHS begin every day with gentle, dulcent strains of harmony produced by them- selves under the long-suffering direction of Mr. Austin Gibson. For each morning at exactly 8:40 Gibson Hall students take their places and, instruments in hand, begin the forty-minute practice session. Even though the group has not yet completely rubbed the sleep from its eyes the work-out on marches, overtures and waltzes which will eventually be performed at assemblies, plays and that goal of the entire year's efforts, the concert, is usually brisk and business-like. For more than twenty years Mr. Gibson has guided the activities of the music department at VHS and seen its membership grow from a handful to well over a hundred students.
