On April 6, members of the home economics and art classes presented a combined show. Work of the art classes was on exhibit in the gym and home ec girls land boysl modeled the year's sewing projects. 'N3f,,f , '15 'X 's A 1 J., .gf 2 t f ff tt, is ...ai i 6 On April I9 a fine stiff breeze brought out twelve contest- ants with their kites. Paul Turner, freshman, won the prize for the largest kite flown. His kite was twelve feet long and seven feet wide. Joe Dean Goddard, also a freshman, won the prize for the most novel kite while James Annable, sophomore, and James Mathis freshman, shared in the prize for the highest flying kite.'Clifford Bradshaw, freshman, had the smallest kite and Don Myers and Bobby Plunkett, both sophomores, won in the box kite division. The kite made by the art classes was not a prize winner but it was certainly unusual in appearance.

A South-of-the- Border theme made a gay background for the evening's festivities which included besides dancing beneath the l. Girls will gossip even at a dance. 2. The band brought its own singer. 3. Refreshments were delicious. 4, From above, the dancers made a pretty picture. ,,a1di544,..,Q,y 1 .md-f ,f - K l. lt's easier to dance when there is a band. 2. The floor was filled for many ofthe dances. colorful paper ceiling, intermission numbers by Mar- garet Racey, Barbara Rose, Bonnie Flora and Gloria Keltner, Surilda Hundley was mistress of ceremonies. 3
