Homecoming 1969 Was the Best Yet On October 11, 1968, Victory High School held its Homecoming game at Hite Field, with the Morgantown Mohigans. After a hard-fought battle, the Mohigans slipped past the Eagles. On October 12, 1968, Victory High School held its annual Homecoming Dance, in the school gymnasium. Fiftieth Anniversary” was the theme chosen for the event and the music was provided by Mike Fowler and the Upset -ters. The 1968 Homecoming Queen, Miss Kathy Morris, was crowned by the principal, Mr. Glenn Willis, preceding the dance. Serving as Senior Maids of Honor were Miss Connie Stier and Miss Denise Cunningham. Miss Nicol Shreve served as Junior princess and the Sophomore princess was Miss Loretta Cutright. One of the highlights of the dance was the presentation of the queen and court by their escorts, Roger Davisson, Louie Nardelli, Paul Hamrick, Alan Moran and Steve Fowler. The 1968 Homecoming will be remembered as one of the most important events of the 1968-69 school year. 98
