I I Susan Bow Editor’s Message As I gaze over my cleared desk, I realize that this is the first time this year that it has been in this condition. Most of the time it was cluttered with copy sheets, pictures, planning dummies, and my trusty Thesaurus. For the first time since September 1, I have been able to take a deep breath. But it's worth all the hard work. I would like to take this opportunity to thank certain members of the staff: our typist Beverly Chrisman who has worked night and day typing our annual, and Karen Jarvis who has handled the financial problems as our business manager. To the entire staff, I extend my thanks for their co-operation and help. It would be impossible to have an Optic without the co-operation of Mr. Powell, and the entire faculty. To Mr. Milton Furner, I extend my deepest thanks for assistance. I am indebted to Mrs. Betty Noah our adviser whose .jerstanding attitude has pulled this editor through many a frantic deadline. Without this undemanding, I would never have pulled through. The production of an annual takes many long drawn-out hours of seemingly endless work, but it is well worth the effort when you have attained this goal. May you enjoy, in years to come, as well as now, memories depicted on these pages. Your Editor Susan Bow 14 Pi IT UR. e LEE FREDRIC MARTIN ... He ruleth all the rest . . . Preparatory . . .
