TE' H - -r-' X14 Tx XX The amazing Darise Among the members of the junior class is a girl that stands, or should I say hangs above the rest. She is a magician with a special escape talent. Wilkinson began the art of elusion in 1976 as an assistant to Ray Anderson, a professional magician. Her interest grew and she turned professional herself in 1978. She has performed at private parties, the Victoria Oil 81 Gas Exposition, and first Baptist Day Care Center. One of her favorite feats is extremely dangerous. The act in- l volves being strapped in a striaght jacket and suspended in mid-air F by a burning rope. The object is to get out of the jacket before the t rope burns up. Few magicians have ever escaped unharmed. This is modeled by Amazing Randy, who was suspended in mid-air over Niagara Falls. Houdini has accomplished this feat also.
