Senior Stingarettes Paula Vrazel and Carolyn Sneed know, as members of the 5A state championship girls basketball team. The road to the state championship game was paved with good times, lasting friendships, and victory after victory, but the most important element was the hours and hours of work and training put in by all the Stingarettes. Carolyn says she thinks being 1982 champs was a great ex- perience, compared to the 1979 game because this time I really felt the excitement of playing in the game. Next year, Carolyn will be playing basketball on a scholarship to McLennon College in Waco, Pauls, who also plans to con- tinue her basketball career, says that being my senior year and going to state has always been my dream. Paula also feels that Coach Ian Lahodny was a major influence in her basketball career, and says that without Lahodny, state wouldn't have been such a memorable experience. seniors X 43

This year, Greg entered an art contest and won first place. His prize-winning drawing was a giant Stingaree whose tail is igniting a stick of dynamite. This drawing was enlarged to billboard size and posted across the street from VHS. He received S50 and a free meal from King Crab. seniors f 45
