New way of life During the 1981-82 school year, VHS was honored with the presence of three foreign ex- change studentsg Pedro Canal from Columbua, Nis von Below from Germany, and Maria Carlsson from Sweden. These students experienced a different way of life. They learned more about the western way and even dressed western. At the end of the school year, the students received gifts from the student body. Private dance honors seniors To celebrate graduation, a dance was organized by a group of parents, honoring the seniors and their guests. The dance featured the band Hargiss, and lasted from 10:00 till 2:00 a.m. at the Communi- ty Center. Each honoree was presented with an ice chest at the steak and egg breakfast at Western Sizzlin'.
