Work on the annual starts on the irst day of school, with the group as a whole coming p with a good theme that can be followed throughout .s numerous pages in a continuous flow. When the eme is chosen, the staff comes up with an idea for e cover design. After the idea has surfaced, the tingaree Staff usually asks for the Art departments elp in designing the actual yearbook cover. When e groups of students have designed their various ieces of work they are presented to the editors of the staff, who will decide which presentation best fits the lheme. f While all this is going on, staff members are busy rawing layouts and staying on top of the sections reviously given to them. Besides working on their assigned sections, some members choose to be on an id team. These are teams of two people who hold in lieir possession a list of potential advertisers, or ather businesses throughout our community. The :eam members must contact each name on their list to ee if the company would be interested in running an .d in the yearbook. Ad sales are a necessary part of e book as it determines the price of the book. fThe ore ads that are sold, the cheaper the annual costs to .ll persons who purchase one.j To put out a highly rated yearbook all members nust work closely together to meet their deadlines and must be willing to stay until the job is done. The 1981-82 Stingaree Staff consists of 31 members including the photographers. The editors for the year were Tammy Farmer, Lisa Zuniga, and Lorie Torres. Under them are Michelle Dronet, Clubs Editor: Margarette Thompson, Sports Editorg Iackie Olinger, Senior Section Editor 3 Tonya Shaw, Class Editorg Lynn Lowder, Administrative editor, Brigett Postel, copy editor, Holly McCutchen, Business Mgr.g Sabrina Steelman, Assistant Business Mgr.g David Iordan photo editorg Laura Trotter, Assistant Photo Editor, and Ioy Dunglinson, Photo Assignment Editor. The other staff members consist of Kim Anderson, Donna Andres, Ginger Copeland, Shannon Fitz- gerald, Dee Garland, Rhonda Kickendahl, Lisa Lewis, Iennifer Meis, Linda Oliver, Connie Rogers, Lisa Vas- quez, and Iackie Vega. The Stingaree Staff members become more than friends through their year of hard work. They become more of a family who congratulates the other guy when a job is well performed, and comforts them in times of frustration. When entering Room 75 all per- sonal grudges must be set aside, as there is no time for foolish behavior. One must be ready to do his best from the word Ngo. These are some of the essentials for a good quality book that the staff can present to their fellow classmen with pride, and the student body and faculty will enjoy and treasure for many years to come.
