Steve Gleinser lohn Godsey Andy Gohn Cindi Gomez Freddy Gomez Chris Gonzales Eunice Gonzales Ianie Gonzales Vincent Gonzales Alma Gonzalez Mary Grahmann Burrow active at VHS Barclay Burrow is a very special person to most of the students and faculty at Vic- toria High School. He is a hard worker and will hang in there until the job is finished. He is the advisor to both the Victorian staff and the Stingaree staff. Each spring he joins efforts with Kathy Neece to put out Impact. This year, however, he also found time to help Mrs. Vardaman's class with a project which consisted of designing and printing a newspaper of the . future. If all this isn't enough, he also does most of the planning and budgeting for the junior-senior prom held each spring. If you listen to KVIC-KCWM radic on the weekends, you will find him working hard at another job, a disc- jockey. Although he always has a lot on his mind, he is a person with muck patience and can usually find something to make a quick joke about. His students find him more as a friend than a teacher. Sabrina Steelman and David lordan agree, that he is a good teacher because he gets involved with the students and is concerned with their personal needs. If you neec him, he'll be there! Lorree Hennig sent on to say that he is a very open man who is full of encouragement. Iackie Olinger, a member of the annual staff remembered the day she nearly fell apart lwhen everything was going wrong on the yearbookl, but Mr. Burrow talked to her and helped her get back or the right foot. I had stayed up all night working on the annual and I was tirec and then I found out that most of what I had done the night before wa: wrong, I just broke down and cried. He took me aside and talked to me ant showed me the way it should've been done. He's a great man. I've learned 2 lot from him. 28 ! seniors

V f ,, ,f , ,M,,,, , ,,,,, , SAC: no fun at all The Special Assignment Class, or SAC, as it is better known, is a place most students dread visiting. SAC, located at 1208 S. Navarro, is where students are sent as a means of disciplinary action. Once a student is assigned to spend a day there, he misses school and is picked up at 9:00 AM, transported across town on a bus, and deposited back at Victoria High at 3:15 p.m. In addition to normal school policies, students at SAC have to follow a rigid set of rules including that they must study or read all day longg no talking or sleeping is allowed at all. A thirty minute lunch break is per- mitted. A visit to SAC also means the students can- not be exempt from an exam in any class. Students may be sent to SAC for anything from an accumulation of tardies to disrespect for a teacher. Profanity has also grown into a major problem. . . - w ,MetagsssfsfitfwrMitrawww :wif g - Richard Garcia Virginia Garcia Tami Garrett Cathy Garza Danny Garza Rosie Garza Bernell Gibson Iohn Gibson Vaness Gibson Connie Gilbert Monica Gill Bryon Gillespie seniors X 27
