Victorian earns top honors The conversion of the VICTORIAN to a newsmagazine from a newspaper has been a suc- cessful one, as the VICTORIAN Newsmagazine was rated one of the top sixteen newsmagazine publica- tions in Texas, and was awarded a Certificate of Distinguished Merit by the University Interscholastic League Press Conference. Graphic work, and an ex- panded feature department completed the transition. The computer acquired by the Lournalism department allowed the editors to be more creative, wor faster, and with less probability of error. Dana Grones interviews Maria Carlsson for a feature story. Debra Reed earned the honor of high point girl. AC has good ear The Vocational Adjustment Club members are juniors and seniors who are eligible for the cooperative work-study program. This year the club had several parties, including a Bunco party and a party for their sweetheart and beau. At Homecoming, VAC held a reception for returning graduates and 1982 seniors also were honored with a graduation reception. Club members held a banquet in honor of their employers. They took a trip to the World of Work vocational testing center in Houston and went to Astroworld in Iune. VAC sponsors are Carolyn Knight and Lucille Goff.
