A little girl's dream . . . At some time in their lives, most little girls dream of becoming a cheerleader. But only a lucky few are able to fulfill the fantasy. Being on the squad has its advantages - being in the limelight, the experiences shared, and the friends that are made are all part of an unforgettable time in the cheerleader's life. But in order to achieve these rewards, there is much work to be done. They devote hours to. practice, money-making projects, and preparing to motivate the Stings for each game. The 1981-82 cheerleaders perform one of their best stunts during a pep rally. April Cook, Lisa Palacios, and Wendy Wayne lead the Stingarees in the school song. lane Wendel regrets letting Angelle Allemand get at her hair. 91' Wendy Wayne cheers the team on during the half-time break. arching band receives honors The 1981-82 Stingaree Band received a U.I.L. Superior rating at the marching contest. The band also represented Victoria High at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee.
