HFL learns marriage Home and Family Living is an elective course available to all seniors. Students study human behavior while gaining an understanding of their relationships within the family and outside the family. Mrs. Ann Oyen is the teacher of Home and Family Living. t As part of the class, students plan and take an active role in a wedding, learning the importance of both proper etiquette and careful planning. This year's fall semester bride and groom were Mary Ann Massey and Iamie Dorsett, and the spring semester newlyweds were Paula Vrazel and Ricky Ap- pelt. The wedding is both entertaining to its participants and bn effective opportunity for them to learn. trlt y .irt ttt. Salyer, 1st senior captain, To d, 1st senior lieutenant, Anyone who has been at a Vic- toria High foot- ball, basketball, or baseball game has cprobably notice a tgroup of ta-lente girls dressed in red and white known as the Vic- toriadores. Vic- toria's Pride of the Southwest has had a great year with many outstanding per- formances, as they continue to represent VHS in a way that makes everybody proud. In March, the Victoriadores went to state competition in Dallas, taking five soloists and a prop, jazz, and highkick dance. Senior officers include Elsa Gar- cia, majorg Trayce Kris Parker, 2nd senior captaing Gayle and Mary Massey, 2nd senior lieutenant. Senior Victoriadores get special privileges and earn special respect within the drill team because most of them have been Victoriadores for a year or two before they become seniors. About her senior year in the drill team, Trayce Salyer said that 'tsome of my closest friend- ships, that I will remember all my life are people I spent time with in Victoriadores. This year's senior Victoriadores are an extremely talented group of girls who have added a lot to the Pride of the Southwest. 5g W.yN ,xtxpi r . ,. ., , ,....ft-Wu. .Ji I I --g, -- -.-, . ,f...,,,.f,i,....,i,,,i,, it V ,H .- - . ic- ,,1,I,.,w .,.. .,.- f ,fs , I Michael Crider Margo Cuellar Kim Curl Tim Curry Chris Davis Darlene Davis Donny Davis Robert Dechert Mark Dermit Artie Dial Tessia Dollery seniors f 23
