f Stings capture district championship The Stingarees half-court defense may have been the key to a district title. The game may hav been considered a true test of Sting determination and those mighty Stings showed 'em that VHS i 111. The Victoria fans couldn't have asked for a more exciting game. The Stings looked as if they wer ready to end their season early in the game, but the basketball fever hit them and they did an about-face to win the Bi-District title in double over-time with a score of 76-70. Wayne Barefield herds a Raider the other way. nn Graves just can't believe the whole ation. Drost says, Not this way. I think the goal is the other way, says a Raider. Best in Victoria With the need of a win to gain second round district championship, more was at stake in the Stroman gym than just another season win. Un- fortunately for the Raiders, the Stings had an answer for everything Stroman had to offer.
