Riverside Golf Course was the site for both the boys' and girls' golf practice during sixth period. vsnsm meats E counss BAL SPEECH. 930 Girls' golfers have successful season The Girls' Varsity Golf Team had a successful year. Out of eight tournaments they placed first in Alice and Kingsville and second in Austin and San Antonio Northeast. In District they finished third out of nine teams. At the golf banquet junior Rhonda Thurman was named Most Valuable Player. The Girls' Iunior Varsity Golf Team participated in three tournaments. They won third place in El Campo and fourth in Seguin. Freshman team member Christie Williamson was named Most Improved Player. Next year, these are the girls to watch. Amy Tipton hits the golf ball with power. girls' golf ! 177
