Stings lose district opener The Victoria Stingarees opened district 25-AAAAA competition with 1 27-7 loss to the Lamar Mustangs. Dropping from the ranks of undefeatec teams, the loss left Victoria standing at 4-1 for the season and 0-1 in leagui play. Iet Brown ran a 44-yard dash down the left sideline, giving Victoria it only edge of the evening as the Stings rode a 7-0 lead into the seconr quarter.
