Season opens to victory! The Victoria High School Stingarees launched the 1981 football season at home in Memorial Stadium. Victoria's Iet Brown and Ieff Payne let nobody doubt their ability. They found the end zone quickly in the first quarter to propel the Stingarees to a 21-0 victory over Austin Anderson Trojans in the season opener for both teams. The final Sting touchdown came on another big play in the fourth quarter from Iunior Charles King whd snapped off a stunning 28-yard run. Senior place kicker Robert Vasquez nailed all three extra points in the game.
