In fact, rnost freshmen don't even know what one is until they experience the first Friday of the football season. After a cou- ple of weeks of being called fish, the freshmen begin to feel an urge to show the upper olassmen that they do have as much spirit. The freshmen class will usually hold a poster party on Thursday nights, only to be bombed by sophomores, juniors, and seniors. However, the freshmen class of 1982 did celebrate a single pep rally win during the football season. Better luck next year as sophs!!! 4 W J Is. gifts .. 118 f freshmen

The Sting Room is the familiar meeting place dur- ing fifth period on every second Thursday of the month. To be eligible for membership you have to be a freshman or a sophomore and uphold a ninety to ninety-four average depending on what kind of class schedule you have. Dues are one dollar and towards the end of the year the club has a party. Staying in N.I.H.S. is an honor for freshmen because they have to adjust to achieving better grades to be accepted. If your grade average falls below the required average during your member- ship, then you are put on probation. Once on pro- bation you still have to maintain the required average to stay in the much respected club. If you fail to do that, you are removed from the club and cannot re-enter.
