LRC becomes familiar place Every year Mrs. McCombs orientates all freshmen through their English classes into becoming familiar with the Learning Resource Center. They realiz- ed that VHS's library is much bigger and contains a broader range of materials than what they were used to using in junior high. lust as freshmen Dawn Swank and Ellen Fowler were taught how to resort to thelibrary during their first few weeks of school, they also had to learn where everything was kept, the proper pro- cedure to check out library materials, when the library is open, to memorize their new library numbers, and to be especially quiet. Most freshmen agree that they have more use for the library since school is much harder this year.
