J-lisfary Of The 611155 Of I 96 O 9 On September 4, 1956, the class of 1960 was born. It was then that she began her long, hard, grueling, and occasionally happy journey through high school. She began her trip as a quiet, innocent, well-behaved group. g y i.ii 'pi As she entered her sophomore year, she beganher fight for recognition. Her students began to see the advantages ofja co- educational school system, as she started in on dating. Itgwas at that time that her slow but sure death began. By her junior year she was well on her Way. She gave many glorious things to old VHS such as a Wonderful prom and banquet. As she entered her senior year, her downfall was certain. Aided by too many late hours, too much homew ork, not enough necessary food or sleep, too many long classes, and the lack of sufficient vacations and trips, she died on May 23, 1960. Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on June 7, 1960. She is survived by a striving and fairly intelligent junior class, an indifferent sophomore class, andarestless, immature freshman class, and a Smirking eighth grade class. We know that she will be greatly missed and often thought of. 9 s Darryl Wayne Rhodes 72
