The library offers an opportunity for the students to prepare their lessons in quiet surroundings. Books enrich anyone ' s knowl- edge. Carolyn Kovar is making use of the call-number books which are an efficient source of learning when writing a research paper or theme.

Directors and leaders of the college compose the administrators. These staff members counsel the students and guide them in preparing a course of study that will be of most value to alumni after completion of work at Victoria College. They also take care of all business matters concerning the col- lege and sponsor student activities on campus.

JOSEPHINE BING, MA German Larry Umlang listens carefully to the correct pronunciation of the German • cabulary he is studying. Language and Communications Instruction in languages at VC offers courses in German, Spanish, and English. The foreign language department is equipped with the latest in sound recordings to aid students. Basic courses in English cover grammar, composition, spelling, vocabulary, and world, English, and American literature. Journalism includes actual experience in news writing — a study of editorials, columns, photographs, headlines, society, sports, advertising, features, and copyreading. Speech courses include a background in developing physical and mental poise, communication, voice production, bodily action, and practice in composing speeches. Studies are also offered in oral and interpretative reading and drama activities.
