EDITCR Betsy Burgan As we leave Victor Central School and close the last door of high school behind us, we take our yearbook as a lasting memento of our youth. A most important possession now, in years to come its value will even increase. During the many weeks of yearbook preparation, my staff and advisor have been a constant help. I would like to thank them for their en- couragement and understanding. 6

R. B. I-IAWKINS E, M, SALE IHQSIDINT OP IDAHO CL'-K or I 10CH5R R.R.MANN N. O. MILLER 0 . '4'V' W- 333535 Victor Central School ALTON B. CORBIT, Suvmzvosme Pmuclni Victor, New York December l, i956 Dear Students: Three types of doors play an important part in the life of most people. How many do you use? Door pl is the door that slams shut when one loses his temper. Reason goes out the window and when it returns he discovers suddenly how childish it all was. This door you could do with- out. lt's just an extra drafty opening that never helps, it only hurts. This is a trap door! Door .E is the door that swinqs ajar. lt opens and closes on the Hjekyll and Hyden personality that most of us have. Cne side of the door we show to ourselves and our very close friends one side we show to the outside world. Ne may fool the latter but rarely the former. This is an escape hatch! Door 33 is an open door. It says to the world of people -- H1 like you.H lt invites friendship from others. It tries to set the good example -- at work, at home, and at play. lt respects ' the Golden Rule and all it stands for. This is the door to op- portunityl Most of us spend our life moving in and out of these three types of doors. We slam Door al, peer around Door 52, and all too often we wait too lonq before we push Door W2 wide open and see the world as it really is. How about it? Jhich door are you using most frequently? Sincerely yours, Ffvi - N Alton B. Corbit, Principal ADC:BHS o 3
