The Hilltopics staffhas been under constant change all year. Under the gui- dance of Mrs. Francello, we started the year by changing the appearance of the paper and by publishing it more frequently. Our editor and assistant editor, Rose Militello and Mary McGarry respectively, experimented in the elirnination and addition of several features in hopes of arousing new interest for increased cir- culation. Mrs. Francello and four staff members attended the Empire State Scho- lastic Press Association Conference in Syracuse where a cover for Hilltopics by .Tudy Hanlon received honorable mention. With all we learned at this conference and from our experirnentation this year, we know that we will be very successful in future years. 49

BAGEL STAFF The BagelStaffhas hadabusy and successful year. We have accomplished our goals through hard work and happy teamwork, under the supervision of our ad- visor, Mr. Francello and our editor, Arlene Phillips. The staff and Mr. Francello have spent many hours planning and actually producing this eighth yearbook of Victor Central School. We, of the yearbook staff have enjoyed our work on this 1955 issue of Bagel. STUDENT COUNCIL The Victor Student Council had a very successful year As the governing student organization of our school they promoted week end activities, such as movies and skating parties, as well as in-school ace- tivities. The award system, under which we accumu- late points toward our school letter, was changed by Student Council, and a Student Day was held in the spring The school profited very much from such an efficient Student Council . .
