The orchestra participated ht the annu- al Middlesex Valley Festival and the New York State School Music As- sociation Contests at Penn Ian and Syracuse. The annual Spring Con- cert gave the members an opportun- ity to perform before a home audi- ence. he participation during the Commencement activities brought the season to a successful close. K ama, opened the '49-'50 season by giving a con- cert at the annual schoo1.fa1r. Sheila Concannon and Evelyn Golf represented our band in the A11-State Sectional Band in Canan- daigua. The band participated at the annual Middlesex Valley Festi- val and the New York State School Music Association Contests at Penn Yan and Syracuse. Our first undertaking was at the W. G. V. A. radio station in November. We sang the following pie- ces: I've Got Shoes', 'Coming Through the Rye', and 'Brother ames A1r . Four members repre- sented the Victor Chorus in the All-State Festival at Canandaigua. They were Julie Sullivan, Dor- .othy Gysel, Frank DeR1ght :and John Phillips. .
