QL Gila: 0 The Future Homemakers of America, an organiza- tion of high school girls interested in homemaking, prepares girls for better home and community life. Our biggest activity this year was the school fair in which the F.F,A. and f.H.A. shared the work and the profits. We sponsored a F.F.A. Parent and Son Banquet, which was very successful. The annual Mother and Daughter Banouet for the F.H.A. girls was held in May. Our capable advisor is Miss Sion. President E. Brown Vice-President S. Hunt Secretary B. Bowerman Treasurer S. Helm This group meets week- ly to learn the art of cooking. The delicious odors that come from the homemaking room each week and the healthy appearance of the club members are sufficient testimonials to their culinary technique. Harold Kesel recently upheld the club's standing by' being selected as the only boy winner in a local apple pie baking contest. The advisor and in- structor for this group is Miss Sion. Turner, MZ Nolan, Re Turner. The Victor F. F. A. has participated in many activities this year. Last summer several members attended Camp Oswegotchie, the State F.F.A. Camp. At the State Fair many members exhibited pro- jects, and several received prizes. This year the third annual school fair two days, was co-sponsored with the F.H.A. it provided much experience for those who helped The third annual Parent and Son Banquet was which was held for was hard work but with the exhibits. held in January. Again this year delegates were sent to the State F.F.A. Conven- tion in May. Bowerman1,G3 P0D0HhuB0n4 G7 Although the lib- brary club is small in number they accomplish a great deal.They meet once a month for a reg- ular meeting. During the rest of the time they work either in the main library or the grade library in their free periods. Among their many Jobs are checking books in and out, and check- ing and stamping new literature. The girls manage to accomplish a lot and still enjoy their work. The Camera Club, under the leadership of Mr. Ransom, has become a very active club this year. The club meets every Monday afternoon. They have learned the techniques of trick photography, develop- ing, contact and por- trait printing. The Camera Club helped the yearbook with many of its pictures. Pres. ---- ---J.
