The Victor Chapter of the National Honor Society has twelve mem- bers this year. The members are chosen for their leadership, scholar- ship, service and character. The members must have over 851 average in their high school record. There are 151 of the Senior Class, 105 of the Junior Class and 51 of the Sophomore Class. The advisor of this group is Miss VandeVoorde. Our pledge is: 'I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been electedg I will be true to the principles for which it standsg I will be loyal at all times to my schoolg and I will maintain and encourage high standards of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. The Student Council is a representative body of students who help in settlng up school rules and in carrying out projects that wlll help the student body as a whole. The officers are elected in June of each year by the student body and the representatives are elected in the fell by the individual classes, The f1rst project of the Student Council was the organization of the merchants Halloween window contest. Each class participated by decorating the store-window allotted to lt. Prizes were awarded by the L1on's Club. To pay for the assembly programs presented to the student body, the Student Council sponsored six movies and a Cnrlstmas Round and Square Dance, Our advisors are Mr, Gorbit and Mr. Rogers.
