Of the present Senior f s - - ' Class there are only about six of the original cast still together who were W . ' ' ' 1 with the company at its opening season. ,1, 'mm mmcnss ou! The new sehoox building which was some gi' pleted in '41 provided a new setting for the completion of our 'no ' L g .,. 5230 5 class film. The first of our own financial backing came in the form of a bon- L ' .ff X ' 4 -x. us of 815 for selling the most tickets for the seasonal basketball ' 'Q' ' X-gf: A ' ,WV games. The projector was turned towards our Tag Day and an After-Dance ff to complete scene 9. Our next setting was Studio 1-lab Room. Our President was again ,X Jimmy Antonio with his assistants--Lucille Mahoney, Vice-Presidentg Dorothy Gysel, Secretaryg Gordon Gourlay, Treasurerg and Esther Ald- Bo lt Q ridge, Student Councul Representative. Our manager was Mr. Weaver. y Q if fry We practiced so-called chemistry during our free homeroom periods. If 536' We shot scenes of our Hallowe'en party 'at the Rod and Gun Club. Our 'M' ' Sophomore Hop made a colorful scene with the streamers and flowers. k At the end of this reel we had 856 in our treasury. 1 A' ' ' f In our Junior year, we added about 3700 to our treasury. We had our Junior Prom on the first Friday in May. Our other action shots included ldgfyiv a stationery campaign and selling candy and pop at the basketball games. A26 We sponsored dinners for the Rod and Gun Club and the firemen. This year our manager was Miss Brownlee and from our own cast we chose Charles Leh- v, 'Y-1' 5 man for President, Ann O'Dea for Vice-President, Evie Colf for Secretary, and Julie Sullivan for Treasurer, and Jimmy Antonio for Student Council or, :J ., Representative. We had a preview of our Senior Year when we purchased our class rings and moved up to the senior assembly seating in the annual moving-up day exercises in June. V We opened the first scenes of our twelfth year of production by electing Charles Lehman as class President, Ann O'Dea, Vice.. On November 7 and 8 we gave the most important performance l E ? ... 13,44 i of our stage career when we presented 'The Tower Room Mysteryn, a , N fp I ' three-act mystery farce. Our Senior Ball in December centered M ' 521 '? around the theme of candy canes, Santa Claus and Christmas greens. ev f Q I I As. Slimax to our fourth year money making campaign we combined our ff if ' Q I I profits and took our long awaited and privately-planned trip to New 5 ' 44 York City. We traveled by tram, leaving Victor April 12 and re- V f 4 'M A turning April l6.a We saw many wonderful things and shall always 'J ' I' fl? f ' I ' X-iv: remember this exciting trip. -'M f-' X In finishing out the last few months until our graduation, we put out this third volume of our yearbook, Bagel . We participated in our last Q ' Moving-Up Day exercises and gave our Glass Night Prpgram with all the ' 5 finesse of accomplished actors and actresses. On June 27 we donned our ,IV ' caps and gowns for our last group appearance on our home stage where-we , 1- ' K were presented with our diploma and thus recognized as Alumni of V.C.S. - Our twelve years together brought each of ue friends and exper- iences which we shall always treasure and happy days of congeniality .'f-ff1f1fg,9y,ffg4z which can never be removed from our memories. The lights were dimmed and the audience grew quiet as the curtain. was raised to reveal a dark and forboding stage of mystery. The mysterious Master who inhabited the old mansion entered the tower room through the secret staircase and captured Myra Vernon, a beauti- ful young girl who was looking for hidden treasure there. What mystery! Kate and Jack Chalice Qeieter and brotherj entered the house which they had :Ln- herited from an eccentric uncle end made their way up to the tower room. Here we learn that Jack is a writer and that Kate is romantically interested in Jack's backer, Kennedy Ellsworth, As Jack sets out to write a new mystery plot he is given all sorts of' ideas by the continuous stream of myster- ious incidents that occur in the tower room where he is trying to work. One of these disturbances comes in the form of a beautiful young girl, Myra Vernon, who Jack becomes very interested in. Three plotting servants, Matilda, Emily, and Andrew, add to the confusion by planning to rid the house of its new owners. The entrance of Mrs. Barrett, a crazy woman and her keeper, lhrtin, add more bits of comedy and suspense to the scene. In the end the cast finds out that Ken has hired the Master and his wives to give Bill a few realistic suggestions for his book, including the 'Master's Kiss Of Deathn. The servants are captured and the nvstery comes to a grand finis. '24
