May 27, 1973 Junior Honor Guards—Chris Simons and Marvin Knapke Invocation by Father Golenibiewski On May 27, 1973, 121 students filed into the high school gymnasium to the music “Pomp and Circumstance” and became graduates of Versailles High School. Because of the weather, the commencement was held indoors. The diplomas were presented by Mr. Jerry Kerns—President of the Board of Education, assisted bv Mr. Dan Raisch—Principal, and Mr. Cary Cooper—Senior Class Advisor. This day. May 27, 1973, ended the high school years for the class of ’73, but began new lives for them as men and women living their own lives and making their own decisions. 20
