HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING DEDICATION We the Semors of 1959 dedlcate th1s yearbook to each and every teacher that has had contact w1th us F1rst of all we reallze fully that we would never have reached th1s far ln l1fe wlthout the help of our flrst teachers our parents Evervone knows how the value of a parent benflts our l1ves but we would l1ke to enllghten the publlc about our school teachers and the1r contrlbutlon to our l1ves If teachers are to measure up to thelr trust they must meet the requlrements of this modern age Flrst and baslcally the real teacher must have a strong moral character character that emerges 1n worthy ldeals and deeds rather than precepts character that feels consecratlon to duty Never has thls been more truly so than at present And w1th an optlmlsm that knows not defeat the teacher must belleve 1n the character of youth Yet not bllnded to the many folbles and pltfalls so apparent ln the present he must have foreslght 1n preparlng youth for the demands of the future Moreover certa1n standardlzxng agencles are set up Wlth wh1ch the teacher must reckon More trammg 1S bemg requlred each year of h1m or her who would teach No longer can one w1th no professlonal as well as academ1c tralmng enter the teachlng professlon On the contrary theory and content 1n Sp8C1flC flelds must be mastered before one may begln to teach 2 1 ' . v 7 , . , . 9 1 - s
