RICHARD SCHILLING SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of Nineteen Thirty, a group of forty-seven boys and girls entered the Versailles High School as Freshmen. During this year We struggled with all our might and main to accustom ourselves to the whirl of the high school life. Vacation soon ended, and We found ourselves back at the school again, entering upon our Sophomore year. Our number was decreased to thirty-five members. We felt more accustomed to the hustle and bustle of school life than the year before. We came to our Junior year, meaning that We had ascended the ladder another rung. We felt very important, carrying on our should- ers the title of Juniors . Too soon we found, both to our pleasure and to our regret, that the year which had passed so smoothly Was nearing a close. We entertained the Seniors at the Junior and Senior banquet. We are glad to say the banquet was a great success. Vacation ended, and only thirty smiling faces were found in their usual places, ready to front and brave the last year. This year the Senior Class published the Annual, and endeavored to make it the best ever published by any class of V. H. S. We feel as though We have attained that goal, and that the volume comes up to the high standards of the class. -Richard Schilling, '34.
