The main function of the club was to raise money to pay for senior sweaters. The club sponsored basketball games, bake sales, and other activities for this purpose. The boys who belonged to this club deserve a lot of credit, because they gave much of their valuable time to participate in the school's sports and help bring glory and publicity to the school and town of Verona. The purpose of this club is to teach the girls to be good sports and to be leaders of our school. During their club periods, they are taught the rules and regulations of basketball, volley ball, and other sports. The girls learn such things as refereeing, keeping score, paying the games, etc. Al- though the girls have lots of fun in the different activities, Miss Lowry re- minds them that the main purpose of this club is to promote good sports- manship throughout the school.
