THE STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council is a representative group comprised of members from the 9th, lOth, llth, and l2th grades who were elected to represent their respective classes. The Student Council's main aim was to give the students more voice in the administration of our school. This Student Council followed the fine example set in previous years. They helped to settle vorious dis- putes that arose in the school. The Student Council also tried to make the school year more enjoyable by putting on various assembly programs, operating the concessions at the basketball games, and chartering buses for some of the basketball games. The Council's president, Jim Ireland, under the Council's sponsor, Mr. McMillen, with the help of the other officers, Bernie Wagner, Betty Wilson, and Ronnie Brennan, did a fine job. The Council did many good things and urged anyone who had problems concerning school life to re- port to members of the Council for consideration. The student body appreciated the fine work of our Council. OFFICERS President James Ireland Vice-President Bernie Wagner Secretory Betty Wllson Treasurer Ronald Brermon

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Through outstanding scholarship, char- acter, leadership and service, we achieved our goal to become members of the Na- tional Honor Society. In order to promote these ideals in our school, a special assembly was held in which pins were presented to each mem- ber, and proper recognition was given to these honor students. If any student has those four qualities and their grades average B or better, he may become a member of this society. We were very proud of our four members this year and we sincerely hope that this organ- ization will grow to be a bigger, better, and more beneficial society. 11:11- 1 , .Ptll Here is one of Mr Anderson S secretaries typina the bulletin I9
