NELS HOGBERG has led a full and exciting life. Bom seventy years school. This daily practice made him an excellent skier, preparing him for the hard life of a logger. When Nels made the journey to the United States, he lived in Seattle, eventually going farther south to log in Oregon. This year the student council was very busy and introduced many ideas for school projects which were voted on by the entire student body. The projects which the student body elected to pursue are a foreign exchange student and tennis courts. To further these projects the student council arranged for a wrestling match and a carnival. On the business end, members of student council traveled to three different student council workshops, supplying discussion leaders for two of them. The Vernonia Choir has achieved a great deal this year. They achieved highest honors at District 9 Choral Contest which was held at Clatskanie. They have shown their talent at many concerts.
