Two days later we were tn Greece. We thought we would sllde around the place for a couple of days We attended an excrtmg track meet When we looked on the Schedule we saw Larue Collett and Roy Beam s names hsted as runners It was a great start one of the boys was fuushed from the f1rst He trtpped onhls shoe strmgs at1d when the Dust settled there lay Larue We looked to the front of the race for our other classmate Roy Beam but he was no where rn stght Swrtzerland was our next stop The mlnute we got off the plane. we could hear the famous yodeltng for whrch Swttzerland IS noted we could hear rt far up m the mountarns Smce the top of the mountatns was above the clouds and we could not see who lt was we thought we would ask We were told lt was the famous yodelers Mary Ann Ebbmg a.nd Francrs Poer We do not know 1f they ever got down, We went to a Swtss Cheese factory tn Swttzerland where we met Larry Patr1ck, whose Job was keepmg the holes 1n the Swrss Cheese clean, Next came Par1s We v1s1ted the Opera House to see John Mack Herlman and Martha Hell man dolng ballet dancmg. They had been dancmg partners smce graduatlon They had been a great success We went through some of the wrecked bmldlngs of Parts and saw some beauuful plaster work whlch had been done by Rontue Boyd We looked mto one of the burldtngs Just lil nme to see Rontue take a head ftrst d1ve tnto a bucket of plaster He went through all that for the Poor People of We went on to London. We stopped for lunch rn a mght club and we were entertalned by musrc of the modern age Jump and Klck. The leader of the band was John Chatlle Glenn MCGlHr6 was the solo1st he had perfected the style of Elvrs Presley After that we started on our homeward stretch Next we landed H1 Alaska As we landed we saw a great exploston The sctenttst Charles Collins was trymg to perfect the new bomb so that he could ftnd out what was behmd the Green Door After leavmg Alaska we entered Canada We saw two mounues Gene Clarkson and Earl Bryant 1n pursutt of two cr1m1na1s who had stolen the1r g1rl fr1ends Therr dogs names were Wells and Drttman. At last we were back home m C3l1fOFDl3 We stopped tn at Camp Pendleton to VISII Kenny Hemrmngs He was sull there after many years of servtce All he had ume to say was It s Awful! The Marmes were gettmg the stage ready for a famous movre star Miss Sharon Lamb We dec1ded we should stay and see her slnce ll had been such a long trme smce we had seen her ll'l person. The show was grand.
