Sup aatendent MR. WILLIAM T. THOMPSON The completion of the new Junior-Senior High School Building this year begins the second chapter in the history of the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School System. It will be the first modern school building to be erected in the district in twenty-five years. To the Parents, Board of Education, Teachers, and others who have made this building a reality, the pupils represented in this Yearbook say, 'Thanks for your attention to our school building needs.’ ” SWincipjcd MR. JOHN B. PILLETTE I wish to congratulate members of the yearbook staff for the success- ful publication of the Sheveron. This achievement exemplifies what stu- dents are capable of doing for their school. I also want the members of the Student Councils, the Executive Council, and the student body to know that I have appreciated their splendid cooperation since becoming principal of the V. V. S. Central School. To the Class of 1954: mv most sincere congratulations and best wishes for your success and hap- piness.” Vice-t Witicifiat MR. WILBUR F. HOYT To The Class of 1954: As the old saying goes; 'East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.’ However, in spite of our seeming separation in V. V. S. territorially, you have done much to bring us together as a unit and to prepare us for our joint operation in one building, after you have departed from our midst. My best wishes go with you from the east and you from the west, and may you continue your chartered labored successfully against the obstacles which have confronted you here.” 9
