HOMECOMING HELD OCTOBER 6TH The 1961 Football Homecoming wa3 the biggest and best yet. We played Woodland that night. lihe Homecoming parade consist- ed of the floats, the band, and the feature attraction, the king and queen and their court. The Princesses and Princes were Charlotte Foote from the 7th grade and Barbara Thompson and Lyle Ho- kanson from the 8th grade. The king and queen candidates from the grades 9 through 12 were Ruth Ann Childs and David Hummel, 9th; Jama Boyer and Dan Foster, 10th; Lee Makar and Chris Brumm, 11th; and last but not least, the senior candi- dates, Rita Trowbridge and Shirel Boyer, who were crowned at the ''alftime of the game. roe: What would you do if you wars in my shoes? He attended Ferris Instituti Big Rapids and has a Ba h ’.a: Science decree. He also atton MSU and majored in Commerce Law. He taught in Vermontville four years, and in Holt, Mich, two yeans. In 1957 Mr. Oman turned to Vermontville and wen to the insurance and real est business. This year he returned the 'Commercial Department. Mr. Oman’s pet peeve is stude that don’t think.
