We started our freshmen year wnth 45 tlmld boys and gurls We elected class off: cers who were as follows President Bull Hull Vuce Presndent Bxll Ames, Secretary Lmda Steward, and Treasurer Janet Sue Townsend We were very fortunate to have Mrs North rup and Mr Snnclalr as our class advisors Of course as freshmen we were looknng for ward wnth mterest to the Freshmen nnntuatlon We werent really very actave this year and didn t do much to ralse money for the senior trup We sponsored a May Dance, sold pop at baseball games, sponsored bake sales, square dances and our first booth at the Fes tlval where we sold souvemers Students ganned were Maurnce Wells Rose Lee Mead and Percnlla Wmchell We lost Rose Mead Percnlla Wunchell, and Eleanor DeBolt Later thus ear we ganned Keith Wooster and lost Cynt IG Eastman Our class was proud to be represented by Sharon Myers as Festnval Queen Days flew by and school was out We were then Sophomores 'k'kfi1l k'ki'k'kk'k Jumors ah' We had a lot to look for ward to thus year and were anxaous to get started We elected class officers who were as follows Presndent Roger McKee Vice President Bull Ames Secretary Judy Briggs and Treasurer Ruth Ann Flory Advusors We only gained one person Bull Parmerly and the students lost were Marilyn Wiser Loss Gearhart Della Freeman John Muller Benny Dove and Ball Parmerly Cur Junior Play was first on schedule We chose a comedy In three acts called Turn Back the Clock We had loads of fun after play practice of course To earn money we had a booth at the festival bake sales and sold Christmas trees agam W also sponsored a Valentine Dance and Maga zme Drrve where the class was dnvlded Into two teams The wlnnung team enloyed a dlnner served by the losing team who fur mshed trlmmmgs for a turkey donated by the company Hugh salesman for the wlnmng team was Arnold Musser Hugh salesman for the losmg team was Janet Townsend Carole Gehman rengned as Festival queen and Lrnda Halsey Joan Hunt, Judy Briggs, served an Caroles court Prom date was nearing and after much debate we declded our theme would be an Underwater Scene We engaged a lazzy band from M S U who kept everyone s feet lumplng for the evening lt was an honor and a pleasure for the class to accompany our upperclassmen the Class of 55 at Baccalaureate and Graduation WE ARE THE Ckv BABTES OF 956 S . 1 ' ' ' , 0 I O I I . , . . li I v ,f ' xt' BXTV U, X ' I l U I .
