CLASS HISTURY Going into high school all Na-flutter,W our uncontrollable class awaited the big tradition of initiation. With Mrs. Olson as our adviser, we elected class officers. They were Sharon Dean, president, Douglas Steward, vice-presidentgStanley Trumble, secretary, Ruth Ddar, treasurer In November, we sponsered two dances, One of them being the original twirp dance New to the class this year was Tom Heath, while losing Ed Foote, Tom Heath, and Gaynell Wonser In the fall of l9L9, the loudest class in school roared into the tenth grade, just Ndyingn to initiate the poor little freshmen The twirp dance was held November 5 During the year additions to the class were Audrey Lightner, Shirley Craig, Bernard Ommen, and Don Whittington, Students who left the class for the year were Don Whittington, William Huss, and Bud Trowbridge Class officers were Richard Myers, president, Douglas Steward, vice-president, Donna Jeanne Lovell, secretary, and Stanley Trumble, treasurer Mr Sleater was our adviser September of 1950 brought the loud class back a little more quiet, counting the days before our class rings would arrive Realizing the treasurer must have a job, the magazine sales were a big help The officers of the year were the same as the previous year and Mr Sleater still was our adviser The twirp dance was held on November ll, with the NRodriguez Boysn for music New members to the class were Phyllis Barney, and Eddie Pickell, while we lost Beverly Zemke, who went directly to the senior class With the second semester well along, the play cast was chosen and presentgd the exciting three-act comedy called January Thaw held on March l Careful planning on the part of the whole class of 33 Juniors made the Junior Senior Banquet a success on May 18 WHeading for the last round up,W the sophisticated seniors entered for the conclusion of the ood days enrolling 30 students, having lost Jim Briggs, Bonnie iShance Wright, and June Hampton The officers we elected were Carroll Wells, president, Sharon Dean, vice president, Audrey Lightner, secretary, Shirley Craig, treasurer Our adviser was Mrs Montgomery On the last day of October, we, the seniors, occupied the mirrors in the school, 'primpingn to have our pictures taken Christmas card sales were in full swing for the month of November adding to our treasury The three act play of We Shook The Family Tree Soon after Christmas vacation, we measured for caps and gowns Then we ordered invitations and name cards The main money problem for us was the Senior Trip We plan to go by train to Washington D C , and New York, leaving May 26 Skip day was planned to be spent in Hawaii, for more reasons than one After skip day, we played a money making scene at the Syrup Festival, holding a stand and running a parking lot With graduation drawing near, 28 anxious seniors, Kwe lost Louise KPr1ddyD Baker and Shirley Wiser during the first semester! could talk of nothing but hay 22 Of all the hardships of the class, deep down each and every one of us has enjoyed and will always remember the A best years of our lives of high school Upon leaving we wish all senior classes of the future the best of luck in every way and manner l .
