CLASS WILL We, worthy members of the class of 1952, being in possession of sound minds in sound bodies and being deeply cognizant of the fact that our days of drifting down the river of Time are soon to be brought to an abrupt culmination and we shall be forced to paddle our own canoes, do solemnly and reverently set our hands and seals to the following disposition of our cherished and respected possessions: Pat Lynd wills her jolly outlook on life to Julia Husman. We hope Julia uses it as well as Pat did. Shirley Craig and Larry Todd will their seat for two in study hall to Carla Dean and Stanley Foltz. Elsie Wolever wills her books to Elouise Childs. We hope her arms don't wear out for that will be quite a load. JoAnn Janousek wills her engagement ring to Pat Foote, so she and Ken will be engaged. Doug Steward wills his height in basketball to Merle Martin. We hope Merle uses it as well as Doug did. Carroll Wells wills his ability of speaking to Bruce Benedict. We hear that Bruce has a pretty good start though. Phyllis Barney wills her quiet way to Jean Bartholomew. Mary Kroger wills her abilit to do bookkeepin to Virginia Briggs She hopes Virginia will e able to do it we l next year Don Beystrum wills his loudness to Dale Cook Don has some t spare and Dale, we feel, can handle it Bud Ommen wills some of his muscles to Donald Wellman, Don could use some, and we don't think Bud will miss them Dick Myers wills his way with women to Archie Hosey, as we think Archie is a little bashful Sharon Dean wills her way with teachers to Mary Bulling Mary needs to take advantage of this Larry Townsend wills his car to Douglas Faust Now maybe Doug can get himself a girl Ruth Mix wills her desk in study hall where you always see her studying to Doris Wilbur We know the desk will never miss Ruth Kay Arntson wills all her old excuses to Joyce Franks an Jane Newman, as we know they will be in plenty of use Roxana Benton wills her giggle to Joanne Joppie to take care Stanley Trumble wills his ability for dancing to Jim Mix, as Jim likes dancing, and we hear he's an Arthur Murray already Jeanne Wrisley wills her levis to Kathleen Shumaker, as we think she'd look cute in them and they won't wear out as quickly Edward Pickell wills his ability to beat the drums to Bryce Mac Donald, who used to be in the drum section Donna Jeanne Lovell wills her office personality to Wanda Bennett who would Just fill Donna Jeanne's place Magdalen Mahar wills her peach and cream pierced ears to Shirley Miller Shirley will then be able to wear her sister's earrings Janice Bennett wills her 'hunting vacation' to any junior who interested in hunting, do you want it Wilma or Maxine? Yvonre Faust bequeaths her bookkeeping workbook to Ferona Mix is slightly shopworn, but it has some good points Rex DeBar gives all his methods of hitchhiking to Ray Thompson case he takes to the open road Stanley Carter wills his desk in homeroom, etchings and all, William Hosey Edna Walsh and Audrey Lightner turn over their battered typewrhers to any Junior who takes typing 1-L1 1 ffyf . CLASS HISTURY Going into high school all Na-flutter,W our uncontrollable class awaited the big tradition of initiation. With Mrs. Olson as our adviser, we elected class officers. They were Sharon Dean, president, Douglas Steward, vice-presidentgStanley Trumble, secretary, Ruth Ddar, treasurer In November, we sponsered two dances, One of them being the original twirp dance New to the class this year was Tom Heath, while losing Ed Foote, Tom Heath, and Gaynell Wonser In the fall of l9L9, the loudest class in school roared into the tenth grade, just Ndyingn to initiate the poor little freshmen The twirp dance was held November 5 During the year additions to the class were Audrey Lightner, Shirley Craig, Bernard Ommen, and Don Whittington, Students who left the class for the year were Don Whittington, William Huss, and Bud Trowbridge Class officers were Richard Myers, president, Douglas Steward, vice-president, Donna Jeanne Lovell, secretary, and Stanley Trumble, treasurer Mr Sleater was our adviser September of 1950 brought the loud class back a little more quiet, counting the days before our class rings would arrive Realizing the treasurer must have a job, the magazine sales were a big help The officers of the year were the same as the previous year and Mr Sleater still was our adviser The twirp dance was held on November ll, with the NRodriguez Boysn for music New members to the class were Phyllis Barney, and Eddie Pickell, while we lost Beverly Zemke, who went directly to the senior class With the second semester well along, the play cast was chosen and presentgd the exciting three-act comedy called January Thaw held on March l Careful planning on the part of the whole class of 33 Juniors made the Junior Senior Banquet a success on May 18 WHeading for the last round up,W the sophisticated seniors entered for the conclusion of the ood days enrolling 30 students, having lost Jim Briggs, Bonnie iShance Wright, and June Hampton The officers we elected were Carroll Wells, president, Sharon Dean, vice president, Audrey Lightner, secretary, Shirley Craig, treasurer Our adviser was Mrs Montgomery On the last day of October, we, the seniors, occupied the mirrors in the school, 'primpingn to have our pictures taken Christmas card sales were in full swing for the month of November adding to our treasury The three act play of We Shook The Family Tree Soon after Christmas vacation, we measured for caps and gowns Then we ordered invitations and name cards The main money problem for us was the Senior Trip We plan to go by train to Washington D C , and New York, leaving May 26 Skip day was planned to be spent in Hawaii, for more reasons than one After skip day, we played a money making scene at the Syrup Festival, holding a stand and running a parking lot With graduation drawing near, 28 anxious seniors, Kwe lost Louise KPr1ddyD Baker and Shirley Wiser during the first semester! could talk of nothing but hay 22 Of all the hardships of the class, deep down each and every one of us has enjoyed and will always remember the A best years of our lives of high school Upon leaving we wish all senior classes of the future the best of luck in every way and manner l .
