HOMECOMING ee, - i VIQQWY Vermillion The Coronation Ceremony ------ Seventh grade float--'Sophomore float--VHS Marching Band--Our King and Queen Tanager Day was more than a success this year. Not only did the students enjoy the usual features of homecoming--bonfire, snake dance, free movie, parade, game, and dance--but also VHS had a king and queen, the first for many years. Dorothy Dunlap and Burdette Anderson were elected as king and queen by the student body. Their attendants were Phyllis Leikvold, Joy Golz, Joe Trotzig, and Robert Gravrok. Also a boy and girl from each class were chosen to be in the ceremony which was held on the eve of Tanager Day to crown the royalty of VHS. Although the Tanagers were defeated in their game that afternoon, this homecoming was one of the finest. 42.
