Rector, A. Bartlett. Tlzeslbians Present Annual Play SPEECH AND DRAMATICS is a Workshop course taught by Mr. Armstrong. There are many phases of Work involved in this type of course and everyone is encouraged to participate in activities ranging from Forensics to Dramatics. The two classes of Speech and Drama began the year with the Fall Play, Onions In The SteW . They planned the Thanksgiving Assembly with guest speaker Lieutenant Governor Brown and the totally different Christmas Assembly. By midterms, the Speech Team had already participated in several Speech Tournaments . The long weeks of tournaments were particularly successful with the team winning the Erie County Tournament. The season was climaxed by the State Finals and the Speech Dinner held early in the spring . A very successful, interesting year came to an end with the Spring Play entitled Our Hearts Were Young and Gay . 20
