 Beauty is truth, truth beauty,”- that is all Ye know on earth and earth and all ye need to know. - John Keats Ode on a Grecian Urn Using examples of creativity through the centuries, museums capture the history of the world. In a similar way Mr. Yarnall's classroom captures history at VUHS. The foundation of this is Mr. Yarnall's strong conviction that his students are capable of using their talents and intelligence to produce museum quality art work and also produce writing samples of equal excellence. By studying examples of excellence and personal achievement in people throughout the ages, Mr. Yarnall spurs his students on to reach toward high personal levels of achievement. Personal involvement does not end at the classroom door. He arranges field trips with colleagues teaching Humanities and Contemporary Man and World History classes. Together they widen the students' horizons and see the beauty of works of art and history in Boston and Montreal; thus they reach far and near to understand that Beauty is truth, truth is beauty- For this sincere desire to create a love of beauty in history we dedicate the 1988 Blue and White to Mr. Jon Yarnall.
