NATURE AT ITS WORST “Legs: n. 1, one of the limbs that support and move the human or animal body; any vertical supporting member. — The New American Webster’s Dictionary. The human leg comes in a never ending variety of shapes and sizes. Thin, pudgy, tall, short, knobby, smooth or whatever — the leg is an example of nature at its worst. What do you use legs for besides standing and walking? Not much. So what do you do? You cover them up, of course. We cover our legs with socks in endless different types. Argyles, Nikes, Adidas, and even Army socks, jeans and cords also serve the important purpose of leg coverings. They are a vital part of everyone's wardrobe. Legwarmers are a new addition to the growing number of leg coverings in all of their baggy and warm glory. But there are always those who let nature cover their supporting limbs” with a mass of curls. Maybe not beautiful, but certainly comfortable. Perhaps the dictionary should have a new definition of legs — one of the limbs of the human body used to carry jeans, Levis, Nikes, Adidas, Pumas, Jordache labels, cords, dresses, leg-warmers ...........” 6
