Because of the kindness and friendship Mr. Charles Usher has bestowed upon the students of V.U.H.S., it is with gratitude that the 1981 Blue and White be dedicated to him. Mr. Usher has, for many years, been an integral part of the life at Vergennes. He prepared many of us as seventh graders for the years ahead by teaching us well in Social Studies classes. As a coach, Mr. Usher has guided his teams with vigor and strength. He has tried to instill, not only in his teams, but in the entire student body, the ethics of good sportsmanship. As an administrator he has gone beyond his duty to be a friend to all of us. He is authoritative in a positive manner yet willingly gives many a second chance when we need it. Mr. Usher is truly a friend to all of us. May this dedication be a small token of our gratitude for his dedication to our school and our students. 3
