FRESHMEN The officers of the Freshman Class are President, Pamela Rogers; Vice President, Susan McEvila; Secretary, James Spinks; Treasurer, William Burpee. Those chosen to represent the class in the Student Council are John Spencer and Sally Knowlton. Paul Sisters and Nancy Lamont represented our class on the Sno-Ball Committee. There are one hundred twenty-seven pupils in the class this year. This is the largest Freshman Class in the school history. We are proud of the large number that is represented in extracurricular activities. The Class of 1965 would like to thank the Student Council for the warm welcome extended to us at the Freshman Reception in September.

At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President, Peter Adams; Vice President, Jane Clark; Secretary, Derek Franklin; Treasurer, Courtney Booth. Mrs. Evarts is our class advisor. In November five of us competed in the annual Vermont Forestry Conservation Essay Contest. Vergennes Union High School was fortunate to have two winners in the Addison Northwest District contest. Mary Jackman won the second prize, five dollars; and Christine Austin won the third prize, two dollars. In addition to the cash awards, each contestant received a certificate signed by the Governor in recognition of participation.
