JUNIOR CLASS At the first class meeting held by the Junior class, the following officers were elected: President, Mary January; Vice-President, Betsy Benton; Secretary, Sandi Thurber; Treasurer, Jay Vrooman. Jennie Larson and Gerald Hatch were elected as our Student Council Representatives. The class entered the new school year with the same interest and enthusiasm that they have always maintained. The list of Juniors on the Honor Roll has been very long. Several Juniors received the Honor Keys which are given when a student has been on the Honor Roll twelve times. The class is also proud of the Junior members of the National Honor Society. As usual, the class has been very active in extracurricular activities. Sports (both girls and boys), band, and chorus have attracted many Juniors. William Scott and Claudia Allen were the two Juniors selected to be on the Sno-Ball committee. Preparations for the Junior Prom were begun almost as soon as school began, so we are confident that we shall have one of the best Proms put on at V.U.H.S. Our Junior year has been a very happy and busy year at Vergennes Union High School. We are all looking forward to our Senior year.
